Evidences

Evidences provided by Vagarish

Evidence #1:

Not for Synthetix The well-established name for SNX is Synthetix as shown on the previously shared evidence. T2CR guidelines has its own rules and not a merely a copy-paste of coin tracker sites as there coins/tokens more known as the name of the project itself say Ether to Ethereum or Pickle is for Pickle Finance, LINK for Chainlink and more importantly PNK is to Kleros

Evidence #2:

Token suffix is well established ➤ "Suffixes such as, but not limited to: “Token”, “Coin” should generally be avoided, unless a name with suffix is already well established." The token suffix is well established, as I have already proven. All relevant aggregators use "Synthetix Network Token", therefore the token suffix is very well established. And not only big coin trackers use that name, also official sources use "Synthetix Network Token", because that's the name of the SNX asset. ➤ "The name should be the most commonly used name to refer to the asset."

Evidence #3:

Don't forget the #2 Rule You can search for SNX or Synthetix in Twitter, or Reddit, or news sites or 4chan and you'd barely see it being called the official name. Of course, the official token name will appear in the litepaper. YET it's either commonly called Synthetix or Synthetix Network The T2CR rules is clear with the #1 and #2 policies and even though #1 maybe more subjective as what's popular to me may not be popular to you, #2 rule is the clear violated part as a lot of registered tokens in T2CR has dropped the word 'token' or 'coin' The challenger removed a previous listing of SNX as just Synthetix, because since then SNX has been commonly called as Synthetix. The removal is right due to contract change. See below: https://tokens.kleros.io/token/0x92d4b595992763e2f3550e8e41777f761f120704ff3ab257af10a92adaf31350

Evidence #4:

Coin trackers are in fact quite relevant Official sources and coin trackers are the most valuable when deciding the name, ticker, and logo, of a T2CR submission. Coin trackers consistently use Synthetix Network Token to refer to this asset. In the official Synthetix litepaper, the SNX token is also called Synthetix Network Token (https://docs.synthetix.io/litepaper/). Synthetix is the name of the project, while the token name should be used for the T2CR. All of the coin trackers AND official Synthetix sources use "Synthetix Network Token" to refer to the SNX token. Therefore, the submitted name is correct, as it's the most commonly used name to refer to this asset.

Evidence #5:

Listing sites is not the ultimate source of 'most commonly used name' There's only a handful of defi projects that are considered widely talked about , and Synthetix is one of it. You'll see price analysis of SNX being referred to as 'Synthetix' and not the official name it was given. Much like PNK not being known as Pinakoin but Kleros. More so, you wont see it being called with the tag 'token' and is of clear violation of rule #2 in T2CR policies

Evidence #6:

Synthetix Network Token is most commonly used name to refer to this asset 1. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/synthetix-network-token/ 2. https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/synthetix-network-token 3. https://etherscan.io/token/0xc011a73ee8576fb46f5e1c5751ca3b9fe0af2a6f 4. https://www.coinbase.com/price/synthetix-network-token

Evidence #7:

Token challenge Rejection request due to: ➤ The name should be the most commonly used name to refer to the asset. It does not necessarily need to be the official name given by project creators nor the one in the token contract. ➤ Suffixes such as, but not limited to: “Token”, “Coin” should generally be avoided, unless a name with suffix is already well established. SNX is not known or popularly called 'Synthetix Network Token' but only 'Synthetix'.
